Deion Sanders won back to back regular season and SWAC Championships during his time at Jackson State University. After the initial spring season of 2021 a Deion Sanders led team at Jackson State never lost to a SWAC opponent. In fact the 2022 team went through the regular season unbeaten before a narrow loss in the Cricket Celebration Bowl.
