Prime and Weezy. Two great friends and two of the greatest ever at their respective crafts, in the same building. It’s just another day at the University of Colorado running into Lil Wayne and Deion Sanders walking down the hallway.
Shortly after taking over at CU, Lil Wayne showed up to see the new home for Coach Prime. For a man who has sold over 26 million albums and has been rich for the majority of his life, even Lil Wayne was in awe of the facilities.
“This is the (expletive) locker room,” an astonished Weezy asked among the laughter of Sanders and everyone around.
“It’s going to be so hard for (expletive) to feel bad after a loss,” he dead panned to the small crowd. The enormity and luxury of the locker room was something he apparently found more comforting than the pain any loss could provide.
That probably won’t be the case but the point was well taken. The rapper has seen a lot in his life, but the Colorado locker room was enough to get his attention.
