If you’re new to our website here at Thee Pregame Show you’ve quickly realized something. It’s a treasure trove of behind the scenes videos and information with Deion Sanders. Coach Prime might actually hold the unofficial title as the most transparent coach in college football.
While we can’t show and tell everything that happens behind the curtain, we are happy to give as much as we can. The big reason why we’re able to get that access is because of Thee Pregame Show founder, Christopher Neely. Yes, that’s one of the rare times you’ll see his entire name in print.
Sanders met Neely when he became head coach at Jackson State University in 2020, quickly realizing he was someone he could trust. With trust came access and at the behest of Sanders, the POV from behind the scenes became the standard.
Now back to the name game. “Uncle Neely” is the affectionate name that has stuck in the last couple of years. And across the internet people understand that if you want to know the latest on Deion Sanders, just check out the latest video that Uncle Neely has posted.
Neely was recently in the spotlight himself, being featured in a piece for The Athletic. The article did an excellent job chronicling Neely’s path to the inner circle of Coach Prime, and it’s
worth a read for sure.
Uncle Neely bets on himself
In case some wondered, Neely is not an employee of Colorado nor is he paid by Deion Sanders. He’s been able to make a living out of ad sponsored content from Thee Pregame Show on YouTube and other social media platforms. The relaunched website is another vehicle to catch the attention of fans interested in all things Deion Sanders.
“It’s a business,” he told the Athletic. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned from Coach Prime, it’s to bet on yourself. He’s the personification of it.”
Neely splits time between his home in Jackson, MS and Boulder, Colorado. He makes the trip to campus at least once a month to gather content and publish online. His work behind the camera this season will chronicle the first ever HBCU coach to make the jump to a Power 5 position as the head man. It will also tell the story of one man’s efforts to turn around one of the worst programs in Division I football.
Thanks again to The Athletic for featuring Uncle Neely and for you visiting us here at Thee Pregame Show.
