After an upsetting defeat last week at the hands of The Oregon Ducks, Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes are determined to get back on the right foot for the showdown against Pac-12 powerhouse the University of Southern California.
Before addressing this, Deion took the time to pay respect to USC Head Coach Lincoln Riley in his weekly presser.
A Bonafide Winner
“First and foremost, I have the utmost respect and love and appreciation for their head coach,” Sanders said. “This is a bona fide winner. Not just a winner, a man who has put a plethora of young men into college and they care about the character of the men.”
Sanders said Riley’s coaching career “is commendable.”
“He is one of the upper tier coaches and I admire him tremendously, and his staff,” he said.
We’re Still Who We Are
Despite such a tough loss against Oregon, Sanders assured the Buffs “are still on a high.”
“We’re not on a seesaw,” he said. “We don’t go up when the weight coming down, we don’t do that. We rock steady.”
Sanders said he and the team “are working our butts off to achieve perfection.”
“We’re still loving what we do and doing what we love,” Sanders said. “We’re still who we are. And things just happen in life, but we can’t stop. We’ve got to continue to focus and go forward and move expeditiously and still walk our path.”
