Boulder, CO–It was a star-studded morning in Boulder as celebrities came to town to cheer on University of Colorado Head Coach Deion Sanders in Saturday night’s Rocky Mountain Showdown against Colorado State. One of those celebrities was rapper Offset from The Migos.
The pair exchanged a hug as Sanders exited the stage after his College Gameday appearance, heading towards his next appearance on Big Noon Kickoff. Sanders thanked Offset for coming, and Offset let Sanders know he would find him later.
“You know I ain’t hard to find,” Sanders said.
The two found one another after the media car wash came to a close. Sanders and Offset sat outside of his office in the recruiting lounge. Sanders gifted Offset with a pair of black shades, fitting right in with the Buffs’ all-black uniforms they would sport that night.
“I’m gonna be in all black with the team,” Offset said. “I’m gonna be turnt too out there, just so you know.
“It’s a must,” Sanders replied.
“Love what you’re doing man,” the rapper said. That boy Travis Hunter, he’s from my side of town.”
He also took the opportunity to get inside of Sanders’ head.
“What you look for in a player when you sit down and talk to them?” Offset asked.
“Everything,” Sanders said. “I wanna know their why. Because if you’re why ain’t substantial you going to tap out.”
