Coach Deion Sanders and The Buffs may have emerged victorious against The Arizona State Sun Devils, but make no mistake — Sanders is not satisfied with the team’s performance.
We Better Than That
Sanders knows that his team has far greater potential than they’re showing right now.
“I’m sorry, I’m happy about the win, but I’m not happy in the fashion that we won,” he said. “We better than that. We really are better than that. And we got to start showing that.”
Sanders said he expects “to win in a better fashion.”
“I’m sick of these consistent holes that we’re displaying and the penalties,” he said.
All Down the Board
The accountability that Deion Sanders shows is an expectation he has not only for his players, but entire staff as well. He’s motivated to bring out 110 percent from his peers.
“I have greater expectations,” Sanders said. “We’re better than this. I’m not changing, you have to meet my expectations. And that starts in practice, it starts in film study, it starts in preparation, it starts in coaching, it starts all the way down the board. It’s not just the kids, it’s everybody. I have lofty expectations for this team, this school, this university. And we’re going to get there.”
