Coach Deion Sanders and The Colorado Buffaloes are coming off a weekend victory against The Arizona State Sun Devils. In his weekly presser, Sanders took the time to also celebrate achievements players have made off the field.
List of Achievements
Dylan Edwards, a freshman communications major, and Isaiah Hardge, a freshman exploratory studies major, were the “academic guys of the week.” The University of Colorado has played in front of a sellout crowd in all six games this season. It’s the longest stretch in history, and Stanford’s game will make it seven.
Sanders said the red zone offense is “killing the game 100 percent” and Alejandro Mata is PAC-12’s special teams player of the week for his fourth-quarter 43-yard field goal against Arizona State.
“I believed in Mata from day one,” Sanders said. “That’s why he’s here.”
Shedeur is Shedeur
Sanders called punter Mark Vassett “a great guy.” He acknowledged him as another top performer of the week, averaging almost 50 yards a punt.
“Shedeur is Shedeur,” Sanders said before opening the presser up for questions from the media.
With the schedule continuing full steam ahead, it’s clear that Deion Sanders’ players are handling business both on the field and inside the classroom. The Colorado Buffaloes are set to battle Stanford this Saturday, back in Boulder.
