There is no secret that Deion Sanders is a proud father. As he takes the time to prepare the Buffs, he is also a parent 24/7. Being able to watch his daughter, Shelomi Sanders, along with Shilo and Shedeur is a dream come true.
Shelomi Sanders had her start in college basketball at Jackson State University with the Lady Tigers. This year, she will bring her talents to the University of Colorado, just like her two older brothers.
‘My daughter is my heart’
When it comes to Shelomi Sanders, her father Deion Sanders loves “just seeing her compete.”
“I’ve seen her go out there and want it and work and sit in there, put up 100 shots at the end and practice on her own because they could go in the gym any time they want,” he said.
‘We have a tremendous head women’s basketball coach’
Sanders is extremely supportive of CU women’s basketball, and is excited for the team this year.
“We have a tremendous head women’s basketball coach we adore,” he said. “And I told you, they require help. You need it. You got me. And they take me up on it. And I love it when they bring the young women in that’s going to advance their program.”
There’s one young woman in particular he loves to see rocking the black and gold.
“Seeing my daughter just in a darn uniform, you have no idea,” Sanders said.
With his children being on both the football field and basketball court, Sanders is busier than ever as both a head coach and dad — and beyond proud to say the least.
