Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffs suffered their third loss of the season against Stanford. It is without question that Sanders is unhappy and let this be known to his players. One of the main questions he left with them is to decide whether they “love this game or like this game.” After the game, starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders vocalized what he and his teammates must improve on.
We Have to Accept This One First
Sanders explained how crucial it was to accept this week’s loss and be able to perfect the little things.
“We got to accept this one first,” he said. “It’s just like it’s just a different level of, I would say, focus, different level of attitude, different level of just seriousness. Because of the little things, even like when we scored touchdowns, we still busting routes. Like we just can’t afford to do that because it’s going to catch up when it catches up.”
Not Making the Same Mistakes
Sanders also vocalized how he would never throw any teammate under the bus. They all must work at limiting mistakes.
“Understand, when guys bust routes and when I’m not making the right reads, getting the ball out my hand, or doing the right thing, then there’s got to be some punishment for it,” he said. “We got to be able to grow from it and not keep making the same mistakes.”
As The Buffs now sit at a record of 4-3, Coach Deion Sanders has made it very clear that there is hard work ahead. The University of Colorado is currently on a bye week before Shedeur Sanders and the Buffs prepare to take on number 25-ranked UCLA on Saturday, October 28.
