All is not lost for Deion Sanders and The Buffs. The current record of 4-6 is not ideal. However, Coach Deion Sanders still intends for his team to give their best efforts and finish the season strong.
As The Buffs prepare for the bottom of the Pac-12, Washington State, they’re not taking it lightly.
You Had Time to Heal and Rest Up
In this week’s Thee Pregame Show Rewind, Tolly and Uncle Neely discussed how Washington State and the rest of The Buffs competition is nothing to be taken lightly.
“It’ll be our second Friday night game with the difference being last time we rolled into a bye week,” Neely said. “Man, you had time to heal and rest up. This is a very short week. You’re shaving off a day from Saturday, but you’re also shaving off an additional day for travel. One thing that I can say about this team is the same team that went 3 and 0 to start the season can just as easily go 2 and 0 to end it.”
You Have to Go 100% to Close Out the Season
Past losses put The Buffs into a tough position, Neely explained. They cannot afford to not play their best for their remaining games.
“So all is not lost, all is not over,” he said. “However, dropping that Stanford game, someone you should have beat, losing this Arizona game when you were up with 2 seconds to play, puts you in a mathematical hole that you have to go 100% to close out the season and that final game is against a ranked opponent, a higher ranked opponent than you faced other than when you faced USC.”
