Deion Sanders‘ first-time season in Colorado has truly been a story that will be remembered for the next century. The Pro Football Hall of Famer’s impact on CU, the city of Boulder, and the College Football landscape will forever be looked back on with zeal. Although the team has hit a couple bumps in the road in recent weeks, Sanders still has a positive attitude about his squad.
Coach Prime Can See Around the Corner
With the end of the regular season approaching, Coach Prime sat down with Uncle Neely to discuss where his head is.
“…I can see around the corner,” Sanders said. “I know where we’re going to be in a matter of time. Based on recruiting… based on what I know, [how] this staff is going to develop these kids.”
A Deeply Personal Experience
Coach Prime also provided a glimpse into the introspective journey that follows defeat. Throughout a grueling season, there are subtle intricacies that remain unseen by fans. They emphasize the challenges that unfold behind the scenes. It’s a stark reminder that the mental and emotional toll of competition is a deeply personal experience. It’s known only to those who endure the highs and lows on the field.
“Losses linger,” Sanders said. “You examine your mind and you really search for solutions. You say, when we get around this many snaps we start to trip a little bit. Oh, when we do this, it starts to go a little left… there’s so many things that [the fans] don’t know that transpires within a course of a season… They have no idea, but we do.”
