Shelomi Sanders, Colorado Women Basketball’s young guard and daughter of Coach Prime, has made the decision to enter the transfer portal. The guard leaves CU with three years of eligibility.
“I want to thank my coaches and the university for accepting me to be a part of the family,” Sanders wrote in her Instagram post that announced the decision. “My time at Colorado has been a treat with amazing experiences along the way. With intentional consideration and prayer, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with three years of eligibility left… I will never forget the memories I have had the opportunity to make since being here. Thank you again Buff Nation!”
“We’re hitting the road y’all. We love Boulder, Colorado; thank you. But, you have to put yourself first baby.” Shelomi’s mother Pilar added on an Instagram post of her own.
Similarly to her brothers, Shelomi has followed her dad to the schools where he coaches football, featuring in two games in her first collegiate season with the Jackson State Tigers. She did not feature in any games during her time as a Buff, as she transferred to CU midway through the season.
