As the Colorado football team gets ready for the 2024 spring game the defense continues to come into form under first year defensive coordinator Robert Livingston. Following the first scrimmage of the spring season, safety Shilo Sanders offered his assessment of how the defense fared against the offense.
“We won today. You know, but coach gave a speech, said we didn’t win. But they’re just trying to motivate us. But we won today,” Sanders said.
“We made a lot of plays today. You know coach called some perfect calls today, put us in a good position. We’re looking good out there. I don’t have any highlights cause the call is so good. They don’t even get to me. So I didn’t even do anything today,” he continued.
Livingston offered a more balanced look at how his defensive schemes played out on the field.
“You know, we need more consistency. defensively, some ups and downs. We talked about this in the past. This time is what the spring is about right. Finding level, finding solid ground. So still trying to build a foundation for Saturday, it will be a lot of fun,” Livingston said.
The Colorado Black and Gold spring game is set for April 27 at Folsom Field.
