When it comes to his critics Colorado safety Shilo Sanders has been listening, and he has a response. Sanders spoke to our Uncle Neely and broke down why people who question his tackling ability should think again.
This was his response, verbatim.
“I’ve been watching. Last night I watched Brian Dawkins, Ronnie Lott, Sean Taylor. I watched some, Jessie Bates, John Lynch. So, everybody, all y’all talking about my tackling. Go to PFF (Pro Football Focus) pay the $90, and you’ll see I had a 12 percent missed tackle rate. So that means out of 100 tackles I missed 12. So y’all look up y’all favorite safeties that’s playing right now and look at their missed tackle rate before you talk about me.
Because I know that y’all can’t do what I do. So don’t say nothing on my be behalf. 100 tackles, you missed 12 tackles and y’all say I can’t tackle is stupid. And go watch, type in hardest hitting safeties in NFL history. Y’all go see how they hit versus how they tackle. Hitting and tackling is two different things, two different scenarios.
So y’all go do that. Do research. Because everybody I talk about, I could tell y’all never touched a football, never touched a field, never put on pads in your life. And if you have you were weak, that’s how y’all sound. So do your research bro, PFF, download it. Y’all say I can’t cover, (I) gave up zero touchdowns, gave up 160 yards the whole season. I don’t know what did Tyrese say. What more do you want from me? Had the most forced fumbles out of any DB, the second most out of any position in the whole country. So y’all need to start respecting me. Because if I see y’all in person, I won’t be saying this stuff, cause y’all sound stupid.”
That’s a mouthful and Sanders is standing firmly on it. Critics, you’ve been warned.
