Anyone who follows Coach Prime’s social media channels or press conferences knows he always is going to keep it real. At times, he’s acknowledged he’d like to say more on topics of poor play or transfers, but he’s tempered his comments as a head coach.
So, who should be surprised when Coach Prime has reached his limit of holding his tongue and pushes back when the CU Buffs are targeted for a negative article on transfers? That reporter could have interviewed thousands of transfers across college football, yet only former CU players are interviewed?
Some members of the so-called mainstream media are now suddenly horrified that Coach Prime will hit back?
Come on folks, the same reporters who appreciate his candid press conferences now scold him for responding to an athlete who questions his integrity? They suggest he is hurting the university and recruiting. They tell him to take the high road and only respond when they want him to respond.
Coach Prime will not do that dance for anyone.
Yes, life would be easier for some people if Coach Prime and his sons just sat back and continue to take the negativity. But that is not their makeup, and I know they are not going to change nor should they.
The hate for the Sanders family is real; just read the comments on social media. And this is not just about football but a real push back for Black men who are not shy about speaking their minds.
