This week’s showdown against Stanford has Deion Sanders and The Buffs excited. Much like Sanders, Stanford’s head coach Troy Taylor is on the road to building up his program from the ground up as well.
Both coaches are highly determined to bring out the best in their teams, and Sanders realizes this. He took some time to show his appreciation towards the Cardinal head coach.
Building our Programs
Respect goes a long way for Sanders because Taylor is in the exact same position as him.
“You know, we have a daunting task of not only defeating one another but building our programs,” Sanders said. “And I got an opportunity to meet all the coaches at the PAC-12 meetings. All those guys, to me, they were cool, they were straight. I don’t think any of these guys have any animosity because they understand the challenges that we’re up against, all collectively.”
It’s Going to be a Great Task
The game this weekend is going to be a challenge. One that Deion Sanders does not intend to take lightly.
“[Taylor] is doing a great job to me and he’s trying, he’s doing his thing,” he said. “They’re playing hard. They have fight in them, they won’t give up. They have some specialists that are pretty darn good. And I love what they’re putting on the field. It’s going to be a great task.”
