Sold out spring games. Season Tickets dueled over. A million plus social media followers and counting. National championship hopes, with major television networks ready to call first dibs. Is all of this highly anticipated rocky mountain high energy actually going to be enough to keep the next challenge seeking, purpose driven Coach Prime locked in for the long haul in Boulder?
What If the cultural impact spread further than what happened on the sun baptized grass in Folsom Field Saturdays on Fox? What if a school initiative headed and publicly supported by the CU administration to invite and incentivize the brightest and most gifted black and brown students from around the nation to join the new Colorado coalition? Those numbers bringing the diversity population to a major university leading 25%. Making CU one of the if not THE most diverse college in America. Even the thought of opening up a direct pipeline to some of the best band musicians the great HBCUs have to offer via the transfer portal. Now the football team plays second fiddle to the Power 4s best band in the land.
Would these history making shifts of Greatness persuade Coach Prime to hang around a little longer even after his kids NFL dreams have come and gone? Even after a National championship or two have been secured in the Buffs football trophy room? It’s just a thought.
