One of the best impersonations of Deion Sanders you’ll find on the internet comes from Lou Young. His comedic impersonation is so spot on that Sanders is actually one of his biggest fans. So much so that Sanders opened the doors to Young this spring to visit the Colorado facilities.
The most pleasant surprise of the visit was the delight of a coach not named Sanders. Lou Young is known for his comedy but he was actually a college football player at Georgia Tech. The cornerback also had a brief stint in the NFL before flexing his prowess on social media. During his time in college he had the opportunity to play for Colorado defensive coordinator Charles Kelly.
Kelly wasn’t aware of Young’s visit until he walked into Coach Prime’s office and saw him standing there. The two quickly caught up on the time that has passed between last seeing one another and reliving a rather comedic past. Before the world knew of Young’s spot on impressions he used to imitate Kelly for his teammates.
While it probably wasn’t always funny to Kelly when he was coaching Young, the two enjoyed a great laugh over the impersonations on this day.
