Aurora, Colo. (Aug. 2, 2023) – UCHealth has partnered with University of Colorado Head
Football Coach, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders to lead Ready. Set. CO – a statewide challenge
to reclaim Colorado’s rightful place as the healthiest state in the nation.
“For years, Colorado was widely considered one of the healthiest states, but according to the
United Health Foundation, we’ve recently slipped to 10th place,” said Manny Rodriguez,
UCHealth’s chief marketing, innovation and experience officer. “UCHealth launched Ready. Set.
CO to inspire Coloradans to once again prioritize health, and we are thrilled Coach Prime is on
board to lead this effort.”
As the chief motivation officer, Coach Prime knows how to lead a turnaround – he’s done it
countless times throughout his career as a two-sport professional athlete and college football
coach.
“To be healthy in all ways – mind, body, and spirit – you’ve got to be disciplined.” Coach
Sanders said. “Being tough physically and mentally isn’t just important on the football field, it’s
important to be successful in our everyday lives.”
Dozens of local and national brands are also on board to support Ready. Set. CO. The Ready.
