Travis Hunter has without question been one of Deion Sanders’ most talked about players this season.
It’s not a major concern for Sanders whether or not Hunter is getting his flowers on how well he’s played thus far. He knows in the coming time people will see exactly why Hunter is a top-of-the-line starting receiver.
Travis Hunter is Instinctive and Athletic
As the season continues, Hunter has shown through time and time why he’s a valuable member on The Buffs. Sanders assures that he knows why his player doesn’t perform at his best sometimes, but it doesn’t take away from how phenomenal he is as a player.
When asked about an amazing interception Hunter made recently, Sanders called it “instinctive.”
“That’s instinctive and athletic as well,” he said. “That’s why you don’t worry about it. You don’t worry about the snaps. You don’t worry about the plays. The game that Travis had that wasn’t his best game on the defensive side of the ball, because he played well on the offensive side of the ball that game, he just wasn’t focused on defense. He was more focused on his job on offense. So that’s it. He stayed over the break and refocused.”
They Will Understand
Despite the critics, Sanders assures the world there is no denying Travis Hunter’s talent.
“Do people understand how good he really is, yet?” a reporter asked.
“No,” Sanders said. “Because he plays for us. You know we got some people that don’t like nothing we do. But they will. They understand, they will understand. We got several players that are really, really good.”
