Coach Deion Sanders and The Colorado Buffaloes are looking to gain back the momentum they had in the opening week of the season. This may be achieved soon as star cornerback and wide receiver, Travis Hunter, may make his return.
Hunter was injured two weeks ago in The Buffs game against rival school Colorado State University.
It Goes By How He Looks
Sanders emphasizes that he wants Hunter to be one hundred percent before stepping back onto the field. He’d rather he be at his best than a liability if not ready.
“There’s a tremendous chance he could play,” Sanders said. “It goes by how he looks, how he performs in practice, how his ‘wind’ is. He has to be in shape. I want him to always be a tremendous asset.”
I Love the Team Aspect of Travis 100%
Sanders went on to further state how much he admires Hunter’s willingness to help his team out in any way he could.
“He came to me yesterday morning saying, what more can I do to help us get to the point that we need to get to?” Sanders said. “So I love the team aspect of Travis 100 hundred percent, but I hope he can play.”
It is safe to say that The Buffs have indeed felt the absence of one of their stars. However, Sanders is still determined to motivate all his players to perform to the top of their abilities.
But make no mistake, The Buffs are looking forward to the return of Travis Hunter.
