Deion Sanders still has a full college season left to coach his son Shedeur Sanders and possibly two with Travis Hunter. But that doesn’t mean he can’t address the 2025 NFL Draft and he did just that on Friday on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast with Gillie Da King & Wallo 267.
Sanders talked about destinations he liked to see his two players go, and places that wouldn’t be a fit.
“I know where I want them to go,” Sanders said on the podcast. “So, it’s certain cities that ain’t gonna happen.
Coach Prime was high on Atlanta because of his experience there as a player coming out of Florida State.
“There were certain cities that fit,” he said. “Atlanta fit, and I want that for my kids. All of them. I want the right fit. [Atlanta] was the first time I saw Black people in positions of authority. It blew my mind. It was real in Atlanta. I had never seen anything like that in my life.”
Sanders also discussed franchises in San Francisco, Dallas, Washington, and Baltimore as acceptable destinations.
Those cities largely have a quarterback in position for the foreseeable future. Atlanta just signed Kirk Cousins, although he’s coming off a major injury and is 35 years old. Dallas could theoretically lose Dak Prescott to free agency, but there’s no guarantee to that. Washington has the No. 2 pick in this spring’s draft and is highly expected to select a quarterback.
Travis Hunter would be a fit on any team in the NFL because of his versatility as an offensive and defensive player.
It’s also worth noting that Sanders played professionally for the five franchises that he mentioned.
